Judge’s comments: ‘ Thank you so much for the lovely entry, I so enjoyed my day. Please watch the size, so many were too long. Too tall, with light bone, no barrelled ribs, depth of chest or well developed hind quarters so essential for a gundog. I was pleased to see the fashion of lots of feathering especially on the chest had lessened. This completely spoilt the balance of the dog. The standard calls for moderate feathering, also please watch the mouths.’

Judge’s comments: ‘I would like to thank everyone who brought their dogs under me and hope that they enjoyed the day as much as I did. The one thing that I am slightly concerned about is the height and length of some of the dogs, especially the bitches. With the undocked tails and the height and length, they are beginning to look like Irish Red and White Setters.’
